Like many small businesses, our nonprofit organization has been strained by the COVID-19 global health crisis. As a community organization that serves an extremely vulnerable population, we are seeing the everyday impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the families we serve – family resources are strained, in-home care opportunities are limited, and primary caregivers risk sickness by leaving their home to go to work or attend to their everyday needs.
For 13 years, our primary source of funding has been our signature events – the 5.7K Championship Race, the Celebration of Courage (in partnership with Rice University) and the Soiree with O.J.
