ALS families need your help

The Brigance Brigade Foundation, led by the Baltimore Ravens' own champions O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda, focuses its efforts on the daily struggle of individuals and families afflicted with ALS. One person every 90 minutes is diagnosed with ALS in America. Those battling this disease will lose their ability to speak, to move, to eat, and to breathe. So what can we do for the families served by Brigance Brigade Foundation?

• $10 can provide a gait belt to assist someone with ALS to move and transfer more safely;
• $150 can provide up to one day of in-home medical respite care;
• $400-$500 can provide a breathing machine battery (not covered by traditional health insurance);
• $1,000 will cover the out-of-pocket costs for a communication device controlled by the eyes so a person with ALS can continue to communicate with their loved ones, and colleagues.

All donations associated with this campaign go directly to the Brigance Brigade Foundation's continued efforts to equip, encourage, and empower all those who are touched by ALS. Winner receives Four tickets, Section 112, Row 36, to Ravens vs. Buccaneers at M&T Bank Stadium, December 16 at 1:00 pm. A Donation of $10 receives one entry, and a donation of $20 receives three entries, with additional entries recognized in the same increments of $10 & $20. ($10 = 1 entry, $20 = 3 entries, $30 = 4 entries, $40 = 6 entries, $50 = 7 entries, $60 = 9 entries, etc.). The more you donate the more chances you have to win! Drawing will be held Thursday October 4.
